I love how Gary Venn incorporate's his own hand rendered lettering into his illustrations, it makes the text look a part of the illustration, whereas often by using fonts, it can make the final piece look really dis-jointed. I also love the way he works with different textures and patterns, and incorporates a lot into one piece, working with different scales, combining tiny drawings with large ones.
His work would look fantastic in an illustrated book, where instructions are included, such as a cook book. His work also would suit maps and leaflets, diagrams and posters, in a fun, bright way, attracting attention to not just the information provided, but his beautiful illustrations too.
