Maria Parrish's work is very bright, colourful and has lots of small details that make it really enjoyable to look at. Her work would suit illustrations in books or articles in a magazine or leaflet. It would also suit packaging illustration or advertisement. She has worked well in creating a subtle background using just one colour, in order to highlight the foreground of the illustration and small details, creating an easy to look at illustration that isn't too overly crowded or busy.
